Domestic Violence happens to anyone regardless of age, race, gender, educational or financial status. Experiencing abuse stirs up various feelings including, shame, guilt, confusion among others. Telling your story can be difficult.

In counselling, you have a safe space to tell your story, rediscover your strengths, identify healthy coping and explore options and resources that support your decisions. And yes, you grieve what was and what you hoped for, because contrary to what you may have heard, you did not choose abuse.
